Technology Agency Releases Technology Letter on Telecommunication Procurement Authority

SACRAMENTO – The California Technology Agency released a Technology Letter (TL) today transitioning telecommunication procurement authority from the Department of General Services to the Technology Agency. 

Assembly Bill 2408 (Chapter 404, Statues of 2010) amended California’s Public Contract Code Section 12120, giving the Technology Agency responsibility for telecommunication procurements.  Telecommunication procurements include California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS), Leveraged Procurement Agreements (LPAs) and statewide telecommunications agreements.
