Richard Boes, an information technology officer at California State University, was recently appointed as Vermont’s Chief Information Officer by Gov. Peter Shumlin.
Since 2005, Boes has served as Senior Director of Information Technology Services and Chief Information Security Officer at Cal State Fresno.
According to the announcement by Gov. Shumlin, he will help create a state-of-the-art system that will streamline many state services. As CIO, he will be accountable for the delivery of information technology services in the Agency of Administration and across all branches of Vermont’s State Government.
