California has launched an application for the School Finder website which gives mobile users the ability to search for schools in their area. The application is optimized for iPhone and Android devices, allowing users to select search options with one finger.
Governor Schwarzenegger launched the School Finder web site in 2008 as a portal to connect California’s students and parents to our state’s educational resources, initiatives and information. With an easy-to-navigate interface, the Web site allows parents to research schools to make meaningful decisions regarding the education of their children.
School Finder provides data on schools in every region of California, from elementary to high school, and includes traditional schools, alternative and adult education schools and charter schools. The data comes directly from school districts to the California Department of Education and is then made available on the Web site.
