Panel Discussion on Citizen Engagement on January 27, 2011

A group of State IT executives will participate in a forum on citizen engagement this Thursday (January 27) at the Department of General Services’ Headquarters in West Sacramento.   The event is being held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Issues to be discussed include how Californians are changing the way they interact with state government, open government, data transparency and best practices, among others.  The audience is expected to consist of both industry representatives and state government personnel.

Panelists will include:

  • Josh van Tonder , Solutions Manager Adobe’s Worldwide Government Group
  • Richard Gillihan, Assistant Program Budget Manager, State of California Department of Finance
  • Samantha Thomas, Chief HIPAA Programs, State of California Prison Health Care Services
  • Chris Kahue, CROS Technology Manager, State of California Board of Equalization
