Governor Brown today announced the appointment of Adelina Zendejas as Assistant Secretary within the California Technology Agency. Ms. Zendejas will be responsible for promoting the availability of Broadband connectivity throughout the state as well as fostering Digital Literacy for all Californian’s. Technology Secretary Carlos Ramos said: “I am quite pleased at Governor Brown’s appointment of Adelina Zendejas. Digital literacy is one of the cornerstones of keeping California on the leading edge of innovation and competition in the global economy. We must ensure that residents in any part of the state have broadband access to the information superhighway so that all Californian’s have access to the way everything from education, information, services, business and even entertainment are transacted in the 21st Century. Ms. Zendejas brings a keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities in these areas. Her years of experience both in the fields of technology and government as well as in the community make her the ideal candidate to tackle the job.”
